Sapulpa Trolley and Rail
is an organization dedicated
to the history and preservation
of rail transportation.
The Maggie M is a single truck Birney safety car built in about 1919 in St. Louis Missouri.
This
car was purchased by the Bennett family in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, in 1933 when the
Sapulpa Trolley Company went out of business. It was used as an office for
a family service station until 1942.
In 1942, it was moved to the Bennett home where it was covered by a shed roof
and converted to a workshop by M. A. Bennett.

In 1997, the car was donated to Sapulpa Trolley
and Rail by Mr. Bennett's family.
In August of that year, it was removed from its resting place of 55 years to its
new home at the Tulsa Sapulpa Union Railway in Sapulpa, Oklahoma.
In just one year, cosmetic restoration was completed, and
the Maggie M is now ready to be returned to the rails!
